  • Community Spotlight: Sydenham Meadow Mania

    Making Our Neighborhood Shine!

    Who are they?

We are excited to share the wonderful work of Sydenham Meadow Mania, a dedicated local community group committed to improving and beautifying our neighbourhood around Sydenham.

Currently, the group is working on several projects, including maintaining the planters on the canal bridge on Sydenham Drive. They are also actively transforming the alleyway between Sydenham Industrial Estate and Waverley Road in South Leamington. For years, this area has been neglected and plagued by litter, but thanks to the efforts of Sydenham Meadow Mania, the space has been cleaned up, revitalised and transformed into a much nicer place to visit. Their hard work has earned them a place in the Leamington in Bloom competition.

In addition to these projects, the group helps to keep our streets clean and safe by organising monthly litter picks around Sydenham.

    How can you get involved?

The group is eager to involve students and parents in their initiatives around the local area and welcomes new recruits to join the litter picks.  If you are interested, you can contact them via email to register your interest. You will then be added to their WhatsApp group

The group meets in Asda car park, or at the shops at the bottom of Sydenham Drive, with dates and times being sent via WhatsApp messages.

    Why is this important?

Keeping our streets tidy not only makes our community look better, but also benefits local wildlife and promotes pride in our neighbourhood. The passionate members of Sydenham Meadow Mania believe everyone can make a difference and are keen to spread the word about NOT LITTERING in the first place.

For more updates and photos of their recent work, you can visit their Facebook group by searching Sydenham Meadow Mania.

Let's all do our part to keep Sydenham beautiful.
