  • Cubbington Silver Band Crowned Midlands Champions

    On Sunday, 8 March, a major milestone was achieved at the Midlands Regional Brass Band Championships, as Cubbington Silver Band delivered an outstanding performance to secure first place and be crowned Midlands Champions. Among the performers was Campion student and percussion player, Leanne Fernandes, who contributed to the band’s dynamic and powerful sound throughout the competition. Competing against some of the region’s finest brass bands, the group impressed the judges with their musicality, precision and teamwork.

    The victory marks a significant achievement for the band and reflects the dedication and commitment of all its members.     Following this success, the band will go on to the next stage and represent the Midlands at the National Brass Band Championships, which offers an exciting opportunity to compete at an even higher level and showcase their talent on a national platform.
