Our aim is to nurture a passion for Biology and lay the groundwork for further study in a wide variety of courses, including Biological Sciences and Medicine. We cover a wide range of topics, from the movement of electrons in photosynthesis, to migrations of populations around the Earth. In addition, we also recognise the importance of Biology as an experimental subject. Students have many opportunities to develop their practical skills, and link theory from lessons to the reality of practical scientific investigation. Our lessons aim to engage, support and challenge our students, at all levels. We use a variety of teaching and learning approaches and resources to suit all learning styles, and to inspire and engage students.
